Frequently Asked Questions
CCS Contractors provide lands cleaning, demolition, storage trailers and container services in Long Beach and Corona, California areas. The following are our frequently asked questions.
Q. How can I tell if a contractor is licensed?
A. You can visit the California State License Board at http://www.cslb.ca.gov. At that site, you can also find information regarding current and valid licensing, complaints against them and whether they carry workers’ compensation insurance.
Q. What is included in swimming pool removal?
A. We remove pools in accordance with your local city requirements. In some cases, the entire pool is not removed, the basic pool structure remains in the earth underground and holes are placed in the bottom; in other case, the entire pool is removed. Exact procedure will be determined by your city’s building and planning department. Some variables involve what type of fill material is used and whether or not compaction is required. A good step to take initially is to contact your local building and planning department and ask them what are the requirements for the removal of a swimming pool as this will affect your costs of getting this done.
Q. What kind of structures do you demolish and remove?
A. Pretty much any kind of commercial, industrial or residential job from a building structure all the way down to a block wall, shed, patio, etc.
Q. What do you use for demolition?
A. We can use heavy equipment or our experienced personnel to do manual labor depending upon the circumstances of the job.
Q. Will you buy my office trailer and cargo container?
A. Yes, if it is still in usable condition. However, many of these trailers and containers have exceeded their unusable life and we are often called upon for removal and disposal. So the cost to you could be nothing if it is usable or there could be a fee for removal if you simply need it hauled away to the dump.
Q. I have lots of steel; will you remove it for free?
A. Often we can remove it for free, depending on the quantity and the labor necessary to remove it? Call for a free estimate.
